The LTD Iron Cross is powered by James' own EMG JH SET active pickups, which roar with a striking yet crisp tonality that can be molded by the two volumes and master tone control, along with the three-way toggle switch (the switch on the upper bout is not wired and is purely for aesthetic purposes).
