This striking Les Paul was masterfully-built in America, featuring a stunning two-piece figure maple top on a one-piece solid lightweight mahogany back, complete with royalite binding and an Ultra Light Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab, which — when paired with lightly aged nickel hardware — simulates decades of light play-wear, giving it the unique character, vibe and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden era.
Outfitted with two Custombucker Alnico 3 unpotted pickups, this guitar roars with ultimate sixties power, complete with two volume, two tones, and a three-way blade switch — all set up by CTS 500K Audio Taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors. Playability is smooth thanks to the mahogany '60s SlimTaper-profile neck, boasting an Indian rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two historic medium jumbo frets and aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. Other notable appointments include a lightweight aluminum stopbar, a no-wire ABR-1 bridge and Kluson single-line tuners.
