Epiphone, in partnership with Gibson Custom and the Hendrix family, has designed the Epiphone Jimi Hendrix "Love Drops" Flying V, an Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation of a guitar that Jimi played extensively from 1967 to 1969. Originally a Sunburst, Hendrix customized his Ebony-finished Flying V with hand-painted psychedelic graphics, beautifully recreated for an authentic experience.

It's built from a mahogany solidbody with a one-piece mahogany neck and a rounded C-profile, a laurel fingerboard and twenty-two medium jumbo frets. The electronics are first-rate, with a pair of Gibson Custombuckers wired to CTS potentiometers, a Mallory tone capacitor and a three-way toggle switch. The Epiphone Deluxe tuners anchor your tuning while a short Maestro Vibrola lets you warble and dive. Jimi's signature has been re-created on the back of the 1967-style Flying V headstock for an old school look.
