Fender Custom Shop Limited 1966 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic Bass, Aged Candy Apple Red
A sixties-style Jazz Bass is one of the most influential instruments of all time, bringing back the absolute best of classic rock tones and builds into the modern era. With all of the style and form that made today's bass guitars stand out like never before, the Custom Shop Limited Fender 1966 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic lands at Replay Guitar Exchange, complete with an Aged Candy Apple Red relic'd lacquer finish with a 4-ply Tortoiseshell pickguard and engraved limited edition chrome relic'd hardware.
Masterfully-built in America, this bass shows off a stunning two-piece select alder solidbody wearing a nicely worn Journeyman Relic finish, giving it the appearance of years on the road already. The quartersawn maple neck has a '60s-style J-Bass U-profile, complete with a 7.25" fingerboard radius along the AAA rosewood fingerboard — adorned with twenty narrow tall (6150) frets.
A set of Custom Shop Hand-Wound Vintage Jazz Bass pickups deliver perfect low end, letting thunderous vintage-style voices cut through. It can all be controlled via the classic combination of two volumes and one master tone control. Showing off period-correct aesthetics that lend a vintage charm, including a four-saddle vintage-style bridge, vintage-style tuning machines and a bone nut, this bass screams with ultimate power of a past life.
