Fender Custom Shop Limited 1960 Jazz Bass Relic, Aged Lake Placid Blue
The stunning Custom Shop-model Fender Limited 1960 Jazz Bass Relic takes you back to the turn of a decade where the influence of the Fender Jazz Bass was detrimental to rock 'n' roll history, backing back the absolute best of the early sixties into the modern era. It's decorated in a perfect Aged Lake Placid Blue relic'd lacquer finish with a 3-ply Aged Tortoiseshell pickguard and aged nickel/chrome hardware.
Masterfully-built in America, this bass shows off an extraordinary two-piece select alder '64 J-Bass-style solidbody, wearing a nicely worn Relic finish that gives it the appearance of years on the road already. The quartersawn maple neck has a '60s-style J-Bass U-profile, complete with a 9.5" fingerboard radius along wthe flat-laminated AAA rosewood fingerboard — adorned with twenty medium jumbo (6150) frets.
A set of Custom Shop hand-wound Vintage Jazz Bass pickups deliver perfect low end, letting thunderous vintage-style voices cut through. It can all be controlled via the rare combination of four stacked concentric control knobs. Showing off period-correct aesthetics that lend a vintage charm, including a four-saddle vintage-style chrome bridge, vintage-style tuning machines and ash tray pickup covers with an engraved limited edition chrome relic'd neck plate, this bass screams with ultimate power of a past life.
