The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper profile and a rosewood fingerboard on top for boot-tapping action and playability.

This model differs from its counterpart in two respects: The Burstbucker 61R & 61T pickups are left uncovered, and each has Double Classic White bobbins fitted with standard Alnico 5 magnets. The second difference is the finish — the colors are vintage variations, with a slightly faded appearance when compared to the standards, like the subtly faded light vintage aging that occurs over the years. On top of nickel hardware like the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stopbar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners, you get a rockin' vintage guitar that holds all of today's contemporary updates.
