Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue, Cherry Red
Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sound excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity and attention to detail. Replay Guitar Exchange proudly offers this Custom Shop American-built Gibson 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue electric guitar, complete in a vivid Cherry Red with a black pickguard and nickel hardware.
The Les Paul Special was originally revised in 1958 to have double cutaways and more fingerboard access, but the Special didn't really hit its groove until 1960, when the lower pickup placement and slim neck taper made it more robust and easier to play than ever. This faithful recreation is built from a one-piece solid mahogany body with a VOS finish, showing off intricate detail and pure vintage aesthetics.
The solid mahogany 1960 SlimTaper-profile neck is as comfortable and easy to play as ever, and it's home to a smooth Indian rosewood fingerboard, complete with a cream binding and twenty-two authentic medium jumbo frets. A pair of mean, fiery P-90s create tones ranging from sparkling cleans to crunchy distortion, while the wraparound bridge keeps your stability even. The 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue is a complete structural and visual clone of the coveted vintage counterpart, but the real magic is in the identical sound and playability. Anything you can throw at it, this Les Paul can handle!
