The expert craftspeople at the Gibson Custom Shop have rendered every contour, profile, inlay and color of the priceless vintage ES models in magnificent detail. This 1964 Reissue model features a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with sharp horn cutaways and dual f-holes carved in, complete with a 1-ply royalite binding and a Sixties Cherry color with a Black pickguard and lightly aged hardware. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish treatment simulates decades of light play wear. The authentic '64 medium C-profile solid mahogany neck is as smooth and comfortable as ever, home to an Indian rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two medium jumbo frets and a set of small block cellulose nitrate inlays.
In their tireless quest to bring accuracy and authenticity to the hands of fans, the Custom Shop team has outfitted this ES-335 with a pair of unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups, producing a tried-and-true vintage P.A.F. tonality that can be adjusted to your preference using the dual volume and dual tone controls, along with the three-way toggle switch.
