“If I do one thing today, it will be to write a blog post,” I said to myself in the mirror this morning, “and if I do two things, I’ll also mail my tax return.” I have been procrastinating for a while, because I tend to be a perfectionist and I want our very first blog post to be… perfect. But, at some point, anything is better than nothing, so buckle-up --here we go:
Welcome to the Replay Music Exchange Blog a.k.a. Kyle’s Körner! Our fancy new website (Thank you Pete Williams) comes with a blog feature which I think will be a great way connect with the community and let you know what’s going on behind-the-scenes here at Replay. I’ve got loads of ideas to write about such as:
- Why an otherwise sane, middle-aged, man with a wife and four kids decided to start a guitar retail store.
- My vision for the store and how it all started
- The highly scientific process of picking a store location
- Meet the Replay Team
- Construction Progress (scheduled to be completed in mid-June)
- A peek at our current, temporary facility
- Preview of our Grand Opening celebration
- Featured brands we will carry
- Cool stuff we’ve bought so far
- Our first NAMM show experience
- Why you should sell us your used guitar and how to get started
- Why you should consider buying a used or vintage guitar
- Guitar how-to’s and FAQ’s
- Local Music Scene Updates
So, look for us to address these topics and more here weekly. Once I figure out how to work Mail-Chimp, we will send these out in an e-mail newsletter as well. We have over 400 guitars & basses in stock and our goal is to get them all on our website. We will be adding listings to the website every week (as fast as Cliff & Skyler can key them in), so check back often.
There, I feel much better now that it’s done. That wasn’t so painful, was it? While you are here, please join our e-mail list (top, right corner of page). Until next time, dear readers, I’ll leave you with an irreverent quote from the late, great, Kurt Cobain:
“If it's illegal to rock and roll, throw my ass in jail!”

Congratulations! Wishing you much success with Replay Music Exchange. Looking forward to reading future blogs. (I met Cliff & Skyler when they performed at a club in Ybor a few weeks ago.) I attend Radiant Church – your neighbor – and have been anticipating your opening there in Britton Plaza.
